London (Reuters) - Buckingham Palace announced on Friday that the youth charity organization founded by Prince Charles when he was still a prince - The Prince's Trust - will be renamed The King's Trust.

Charles established the charity in 1976 to address the high unemployment rate among young people, and so far, the organization has supported over a million young people. Charles became king last year following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.

The charity helps young people aged 11 to 30 with employment, education, and training. Beneficiaries of the fund include "The Wire" actor Idris Elba, who received £1,500 ($1,840) from the fund to help him start his career.

Two other charities initiated by Charles will also be renamed to reflect his reign.

The Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation will become The Charitable Foundation of King Charles III, while The Prince's Foundation will become The Foundation of the King.
